Things I Learned In College
A list of things I learned from college.
- Time is precious, and outside of the workplace invaluable.
- Don't waste time; spending it with friends is one of the best things in life.
- Pornography and masturbation are massive wastes of time, effort, and thought. It contributes to a warped view of reality, increases isolation
from others, and poisons sexuality.
- Most television today is a massive waste of time and especially thought.
- Don't procrastinate. School assignments may not be enjoyable but hey, you're paying for it, so do it. (Or if you're not going to do it, don't
waste your money.)
- Get on a schedule. Waking up every day at the same time helps, as well as going to bed at roughly the same time every night.
- Prioritize. Do important things first, lesser things second... Making a list really helps sometimes, to sort out what needs to be done and in
which order.
- Your body is as important as your mind. Make time to exercise, eat healthily, pay attention to warning signs (fatigue, stress.) At first,
college for me was primetime to learn! I soon realized developing my mind wasn't enough; I need to develop my body as well. The body is
nothing without the mind, but the mind is nothing without the body.
- Some have no spirituality, many have different beliefs. I believe in the existance of a spiritual realm along with the physical. The body and
mind are nothing without the soul. I have to make time for spirituality; I get so caught up in my physical everyday life.
- Don't be so shy (if you are.) What's the point? Friendships are invaluable, life is short, so go have fun!
- Always clear your memory card before going out to record events.
- Some people are stupid. Accept it and deal accordingly with the results of their actions.
