Movie Ratings

Here's one way to critique movies and establish a semi-consistent method of rating films. (The end score generally agrees with my feelings if I had to score it qualitatively! I think I've done a fairly good job quantifying what I find important in movies.)

A list defining terms for the following table:

Score
The sum of the points earned. The perfect score is 10. (I'm keeping in mind IMDB's out-of-ten rating system.)
Acting
Was everyone's acting good?
Eyecandy
Were the visuals beautiful to behold?
Music
Was the music good?
Plot
Was the plot good?
Edifying
Was the film's overall message good? (Will it make you a better person?)
Entertaining
Was the film successful in distracting you from your worries?
Immorality
Did the film refrain from indulging in immorality?
Violence
Did the film refrain from indulging in violence?

If the answer is yes, then the film gets the corresponding points. I've put Y for yes and N for no, and left the oppositely-answered squares blank, for ease of reading.

A table of movies I've rated and the system for rating them out of ten stars.
